The Newport City Commission and Newport Board of Education races are no longer contested after candidates’ withdrawal.

Candidates Vince Proffitt and Jerry Rex Peluso have withdrawn from the Newport Commission race, and Gordon Henry has withdrawn from the Newport Board of Education race.

The Newport City Commission (vote for four) candidates are:

  • Aaron W. Sutherland
  • Julie Smith-Morrow 
  • Ken Rechtin 
  • Mike Radwanski 

The Newport Board of Education (vote for three) candidates are:

  • Bobbie Lee Stubbeman
  • Ed Davis 
  • Timothy Curl
