After a brief closure Aug. 22 due to a Crypotosporidium outbreak, Wilder announced Aug. 31 it was forced to close its splash pad for the season due to an equipment failure.

“Thank you for your understanding, and we look forward to welcoming you back next season with everything in top shape,” the post said.

Crypotosporidium, also known as Crypto, is a fecal borne parasite that caused several Northern Kentucky pools to close in the last few weeks.

The Wilder splash pad is located at City Center Park at 520 Licking Pike.
