A new mode of service called TANK Plus, the Transit Authority of Northern Kentucky’s on-demand microtransit program, is expected to hit the streets in early fall 2024.Â
TANK Plus is a flexible, on-demand way to get around town, curb-to-curb. Instead of fixed bus routes, they will use smaller vehicles like minibusses that patrons can call up when they need a ride, either through a phone app or a call center, according to TANK.
The transit authority is holding information sessions on TANK Plus in three Campbell County cities this month: on July 16 and July 18, from 11 a.m. to noon at the Campbell County Senior Center in Highland Heights; on July 23, from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the Campbell County Public Library Fort Thomas branch; and on July 27, from 10 a.m. to noon at Chief Sayers Park in Silver Grove.
TANK Plus services will be available Monday through Sunday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. traveling, curb-to-curb within the zone for $5 per trip.
Traveling from your zone to a designated fixed route bus stop or transit center is $2.50 per trip (full bus fare will apply for fixed route trips.)
