Campbell County Schools welcomed Tamara Kuhel to the Campbell County Board of Education, filling the recent vacancy for Division 1 Representative.

Kuhel will bring her experience as a registered veterinary technician and career technical instructor to her new role. Kuhel, a resident of Wilder, has been an active participant in the educational community, particularly at Cline Elementary, Campbell County Middle School and Campbell County High School, where her children have been enrolled. Her involvement has ranged from PTO participation to various volunteer roles.

“I am deeply honored by the opportunity to give back to Campbell County Schools, which has given so much to my family,” Kuhel said. “I am delighted to step into this role and serve our community.”

Professionally, Kuhel has been managing unit operations at the University of Cincinnati’s Animal Care and Use Program (Laboratory Animal Medical Services and the Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee), focusing on compliance oversight, training, efficiency and program development. Her background also includes a teaching career at Diamond Oaks Career Campus in Cincinnati, where she developed curriculum standards and facilitated numerous student successes in state competitions and assessments.

“Campbell County Schools is enthusiastic about the professional expertise and passionate community involvement that aligns with the district’s values and goals,” Campbell County Schools said in a news release. “Kuhel’s perspective as a parent and educator will be valuable in guiding strategic initiatives and ensuring our students continue to receive the best educational opportunities.”

Kuhel officially took her oath and seat on the board on Monday, June 17.
