Covington’s Maifest is going green.

The festival, a traditional German holiday celebrating the beginning of spring, is working to be a fully sustainable event.

Throughout Goebel Park, where the event is being held, multiple recycling stations managed by local companies will provide on-site recycling and composting. This year, they are partnering with Last Mile Food Rescue to ensure no food goes to waste, and Liquid Death is on hand with eco-friendly water options.

In addition, when you snag a Braxton aluminum cup, you can enjoy a special discount on your beers when you reuse it.

Goebel Park is located at 501 Philadelphia St. in Covington, and the festival is set for May 17th to 19th. Find more information on the event’s Facebook page.
