The Alexandria Police Department is holding its “Hero’s Day” event this Sunday, April 28.
The event will be from 1 to 4 p.m. at the Campbell County Middle School. It will feature canine demonstrations, fire extrication, a medic helicopter, police drones, a robotic dog, rope rappelling, and several different emergency vehicles for families to see. National Guard recruits will have an obstacle course for participants to partake in.
The event will host other community partners and kids activities, including the Campbell County Public Library Book Bus—stocked with free books for visitors of all ages.
There will be free hotdogs and chips as well as Sweets and Treats Food Truck for purchase.
