Newport welcomed firefighter/medic Joseph Schutzman to the city.
Schutzman has been in the fire service for 14 years and has been a paramedic for the past four years.
“He has received multiple awards in the fire and EMS community, and he also has many talents inside and outside of the fire service,” Newport Fire Chief Frank T. Peluso said. “He is very well-rounded as a firefighter and a human, and I have no doubt that he will do very well here.”
