Scott Hardcorn, director of The Northern Kentucky Drug Strike Force, presented updates on the initiative at the Kenton County Fiscal Court Meeting last month. Hardcorn reviewed the 2023 annual report with the court and discussed upcoming initiatives that have taken place.
Hardcorn brought special guests Nancy and Bruce Haverkamp to the meeting to discuss the work of the Matt Haverkamp Foundation. Hardcorn has been working closely with the Haverkamps to develop a drug-free initiative in Kenton County.
Hardcorn said that the foundation recently donated a drug detection K-9 to help the task force.
“Their foundation has funded a total of 106 K-9’s to police agencies in our region,” explained Hardcorn. “They have funded over 1.1 million [dollars] for local law enforcement. I can’t think of another foundation in this region that does this much to support law enforcement as well as the Matt Haverkamp Foundation does.”
