Kenton County has announced that April 14 through 20 will be recognized as Animal Control Officer Appreciation Week.

As the only animal control agency in Kenton County, Kenton County’s Animal Control is being acknowledged for its dedication towards animal services in all 19 cities within Kenton County.

During the Kenton County Fiscal Court Meeting on March 26, Kelsey Maccombs, an animal services representative, said, ” When you are a resource to your community, they call.” She sees this as a testament to the team involved, as they have worked to be such a resource.

“We don’t get to say thank you enough,” says Judge/Executive Kris Knochelmann at the meeting. “We appreciate the work you are going to do and continue to do. I know you have tough cases you have to handle.”
