Corporex, the Covington-based real estate developer behind the $1 billion Ovation project in Newport, recently unveiled seven new floor plans and opened up sales for their third and final luxury residential condominium.

The building is part of the Boardwalk Residences — a collection of three condominium buildings that offer views of the Cincinnati skyline. Once completed, the Boardwalk Residences will include 88 condos in total. Each building will have five floors and access to the boardwalk which runs along the Ohio riverfront.

During the presale process, a number of prospective buyers inquired about combining two condos into one for increased space, Corporex Chief Real Estate Office Tom Banta said in a press release. To honor their request, Corporex is now offering a limited number of expanded units.

“In developing new floorplans for the third building, we wanted to honor that feedback and are now offering a limited supply of expanded units as an option,” Banta said in the press release. “Our last round of buyers will have seven new floorplans to choose from and still enjoy the unmatched views of the Cincinnati skyline.”

Seventy percent of the condos within the first two buildings have already been leased, according to the release. Like Ovation’s other two Boardwalk Residences’ condominiums, the third building also features retail, restaurant and entertainment spaces on the first floor.

Residential Sales Director Amy Kennedy called the sales progress a “huge milestone for Ovation.”

“The flurry of activity we’ve seen in the development speaks volumes to the demand for the location, unmatched views of the Cincinnati skyline and planned amenities that will be available to residents, businesses, and visitors of Ovation,” Kennedy said in the release.

Prices for the condos within the third building start at $995,000, with their sizes ranging between 1,800 to 3,600 square feet. Construction is slated to begin in 2024.

This announcement comes on the heels of a ribbon-cutting for Corporex’s recently completed 100,000 square feet office building located at W. 3rd St. During the ceremony, St. Elizabeth Healthcare signed a 20-year lease to become an anchor tenant within the development.
