The eastbound lane on Dudley Road in Edgewood will be closed through Wednesday, Aug. 30.
A stormwater project along the road in the vicinity of St. Pius Church caused the eastbound lane to partially collapse into a trench, causing a safety issue.
Beginning at 6:30 a.m. on Wednesday, the Edgewood Police Department will be on-site to assist with traffic control and with pedestrian crossing to the school during the morning rush hour.
Delays are likely. Seek alternate routes if possible. Parents could consider the use of drop-off points (at Presidents Park, etc.) for students going to St. Pius.
