Newport High School classes of 1998-2002 are holding a reunion on Sunday, Aug. 20.

The event will have raffles, door prizes, and a silent auction to collect proceeds that will be going into a scholarship for a 2024 graduating Newport High School Senior.

The event will be held in the Newport Syndicate from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. There will be a $10 per person cover charge. Food will be provided along with an open bar.

Event organizers are seeking food donations and donations for raffles or door prizes for the event, including t-shirts, gift cards, stickers, glasses, etc. Local restaurants, Jersey Mike’s, Brio Italian Restaurant, Newport Pizza, and Keystone are donating food. The city of Newport and the Brighton Center has also contributed to the event.

The reunion expects at least 100 people, according to Newport High School Alumni Association’s Brandi Raleigh.
