Newport’s BB Riverboats is hosting a two-day job fair to find crewmembers for the USS Nightmare.
Specifically, BB Riverboats is looking for special effects makeup artists and haunt actors to work aboard the haunted ship during the Halloween season. The job fairs will be held on Friday, Aug. 4, from 6 to 9 p.m. and Saturday, Aug. 5 from noon to 3 p.m.
Potential employees are encouraged to apply in person and be prepared to interview and complete paperwork if hired. Hiring paperwork consists of an I-9 form, which requires identification such as a valid passport or a government-issued photo ID, combined with a social security card or birth certificate.
Crewmembers must be 16 years or older, have energetic and fun personalities and have a strong desire to work in the Northern Kentucky/Greater Cincinnati area.
Applicants must be available to work during the show season:
- Sept. 15 through Sept. 30: Friday and Saturday
- Oct. 1 through Oct. 31: Thursday through Sunday with bonus days on Oct. 30 and 31
- Nov. 3 and 4
Show times are generally 7 p.m. to 11 p.m. on Thursday and Sunday and 7 p.m. to 1 a.m. on Friday and Saturday. Shifts start typically between 5 to 5:30 p.m. for makeup artists and 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. for actors.
