A suspect has been arrested in connection with a shooting of an 18-year-old in Newport this October.
The Newport Police Department say they made the arrest on Nov. 30 at a Covington residence without incident.
The shooting occurred on Oct. 23 at 10th Street and Central Avenue, per the Newport Police Department.
At the time of the incident, the victim received non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to the University of Cincinnati Hospital.
Police say they believed it to be an isolated incident with the victim and shooter likely knowing each other.
The department has not released the alleged shooter’s name but said it would release more information as it becomes available.
