Covington police announced Thursday that they have arrested a man suspected of robbing the U.S. Bank on Madison Avenue on Sept. 26.
Police said they received a tip Wednesday from a local business that led them to identify 22-year-old James Stratman of Newport as the alleged robber.
Stratman is charged with second degree robbery, first degree fleeing or evading police and receiving stolen property of $10,000 or more.
Police said the fleeing charge stems from a vehicle pursuit about an hour after the robbery; the receiving stolen property charge is related to a car Stratman allegedly stole to commit the robbery.
Stratman is in the Kenton County Detention Center on a $25,000 cash bond.
