Boone County Sheriff’s deputies are searching for a missing 26-year-old who left home on Sunday, June 19 and did not return.
A press release from the Boone County Sheriff’s Office said Matthew Geohegan, 26, of Florence, has been reported missing. He left home on the 19th and said he would be back the following day, but he did not come home. He is without his prescribed medication and does not have a cell phone.
He left home on foot and his family fears that he may become dehydrated because he typically does not drink water, deputies said.

The family reported that Geohegan “walked from his Florence home to Dixie Highway and tends to frequent the Covington area.”
He is described as 5’9” and 130 pounds with a thin build, blonde hair, and blue eyes. He was last seen wearing dark grey sweatpants, a maroon or brown t-shirt and black Adidas tennis shoes. He may be carrying a blue and black backpack with white trim.
Anyone who knows of his whereabouts or find Geohegan are asked to call 911.
