We are definitely feeling the effects of yesterday’s cold front. Temperatures are 15 to 20 degrees colder than what we saw Monday, and 30 degrees cooler than this weekend.
There is plenty of sunshine today, but also breezy. Winds at 15 to 20 mph from the northwest will make it feel slightly cooler at times. Colder temperatures are likely overnight tonight.
A frost advisory is in effect for all Tri-State counties from 2 a.m. until 9 a.m. Wednesday. Temperatures will likely dip down into the mid-30s in most areas, which will promote frost development. If you planted over the weekend, you will definitely want to cover up your plants or bring them indoors.
After a cold start, temperatures will stay cool for the afternoon Wednesday, staying right around 60° in most communities. There should be plenty of sunshine to enjoy, just don’t expect temperatures to be anywhere near average, which is 69° for today’s date.
Some changes on the way again on Thursday. A low-pressure system to our west may bring in a few afternoon showers from the northwest. This will also keep us mostly cloudy with temperatures into the low 60s.
Friday looks dry for now, with the mis 60s before warmer weather returns later into the weekend.
