This is what WCPO meteorologist Brandon Spinner expects weather radar to look like at around 10 p.m.

Severe storms moved through the area Wednesday night, with tornado warnings in several Northern Kentucky counties.

Earlier Wednesday, Gov. Andy Beshear warned Kentuckians that wind gusts could reach more than 40 mph, which may lead to power outages and tree limbs being blown around.

Someone in northern Scott County, north of Lexington, took video of a tornado just before 10 p.m.

“Please stay tuned to your local weather broadcast, be aware of outdoor warning sirens and please secure outdoor objects that could be blown away with high wind gusts,” said Director of Kentucky Emergency Management Jeremy Slinker. “Please use caution and avoid walking or driving through floodwaters. Just 6 inches of moving water can knock someone down or sweep vehicles away.”

WCPO meteorologist Brandon Spinner said isolated tornadoes and hail are also a possibility. Since it will be moving in after dark, Spinner said to make sure you have multiple ways to receive warnings tonight.

The storms should pass through by Thursday morning, Spinner said.
