Victoria “Vicki” Kyle is one of 15 candidates running for a spot on the city council. The council has nine seats.

Kyle formerly served on the council for 28 years. She ran for reelection in 2024 but lost. She taught high school in the city for over thirty years. During her time on council, she helped establish the city’s parks and recreation department, as well as the city’s parks director position.

“I want to work with our citizens to improve the quality of life in our city,” Kyle said. “I enjoy working with citizens side by side to accomplish common goals. My first priority if elected is to get feedback from our citizens. I want to hear their concerns, ideas and opinions about how City Council can best serve them.”

In terms of policy priorities, Kyle said she hoped to work with residents to “lower our taxes, make road improvements, increase public safety and promote public events and parks. We need to budget wisely so all these things are possible.”
