Tim Acri is a current member of the Covington Board of Commissioners and a candidate for the new Covington City Council, set to take effect in 2027. There are seven candidates running for a spot on the six-person council.

Acri is a Navy veteran who has also worked professionally in construction. He’s currently a VP with O’Rourke Wrecking Company, based out of Cincinnati. He’s served a single term on the board of commissioners.

“I am seeking re-election because there is still a lot of work to be done to ensure our city reaches its full potential,” Acri said. “I want to ensure our small and large businesses have what they need to thrive; the employees who work in our city have the ability to live where they work; our youth continue to have after-school options; our first responders have the tools they need to protect our city; and the established budget is adhered to during each fiscal year.”

Increasing recreational opportunities for the city’s youth has been one of his key policy priorities during his time on the board, and he said he wanted to continue to prioritize that if re-elected.

“I will make the Covington Recreation Commission and the relationship between Covington Independent Public Schools (and other schools within Covington) one of my primary priorities to ensure our youth have other options for recreational activities beyond school-related functions,” Acri said.

“I have worked incredibly hard over the past year and a half to bring new initiatives to Covington, and believe I have so much more to give to our residents,” Acri concluded.
