Candidate for: Fort Thomas City Council
Challenger
Brandon Roller has lived in Fort Thomas for more than 20 years, and while he said city council was never originally on his agenda, he found himself paying closer attention to the direction the city is heading and whether his background could be helpful.
Roller said he believes the city needs clearer communication, transparency and accountability around decisions that impact residents. He said his background in distilling complex financial and operational information into clear, understandable terms makes him a great fit.

Roller faces a Fort Thomas City Council primary on May 19 against: Allison Alessandro, Steve Arey, Adam Blau, Mary Brown, Brad Fennell, Frances Hoffman, Brandon Long, Lauren McIntosh, Ben Pendery, Huey Pergrem, Ken Bowman, Hunter Schlosser, Eric Strange and Ashley Sullivan.
Roller has worked in roles where financial discipline matters. He said overspending, poor planning or chasing short-term wins almost always lead to long-term problems.

“Every dollar spent by the city comes from residents who work hard for it,” Roller said. “Those dollars should be managed carefully, transparently and with a clear understanding of their long-term impact on taxes, infrastructure, services and growth.”
Roller said he is running because he cares about the city and wants to help make thoughtful, financially sound decisions that keep Fort Thomas strong for future generations.
