Highland Heights Mayor Greg Meyers announced his campaign for re-election as mayor.
After serving four years on the city of Highland Heights Planning and Zoning Commission and four years on the city council, Meyers was elected mayor in 2006 and has served in that position ever since.
“It has been the highlight of my life to serve this community, and I feel I have a lot left to give with a lot of great initiatives still in the works,” Meyers said in a press release.
Meyers is seeking another term in office, per the release, to “complete goals the city has been working toward and to see them through.” These goals include improving pedestrian transportation by adding new sidewalks, especially along the northern stretch of US-27. He also wants to see a pedestrian bridge connecting both sides of the business community across US-27 and to continue to advocate for housing initiatives.
Meyers has been a resident of Highland Heights since 1977.
