This Election Day, future voters of any age are encouraged to go to the polls with their parent/guardian to cast a vote in a mock election at a Kids Voting booth.

Kids Voting Northern Kentucky is a nonprofit, non-partisan organization teaching young people the importance of — and helping them develop the habit of — voting.

Students can go to the polling places with their parents/guardians and cast a “Kids Voting” ballot on the following races: Senate, 4th District and Kentucky Supreme Court.

From 8 a.m. until 5 p.m., kids can accompany their parents to their precinct locations throughout Campbell counties and at Boone County precincts located at schools and at all of the branches of Boone County Public Library as well as the Kenton County Libraries (hours may differ at the Library).

In the last presidential election, approximately 11,000 young people voted in Northern Kentucky.

An online ballot is available here.

Results will be tabulated and shared with the public on election night.

“For nearly 20 years, Kids Voting Northern Kentucky has worked to help increase young folks awareness of the actual voting process and get in a habit of going to the polls,” said founding board member Carri Chandler.  “The goal is to increase civic engagement and, ultimately, increase adult voter turnout.”
