School is out, and while it’s still technically spring, summer has basically begun. Pools and splash pads across Northern Kentucky have started opening for the season.
Here is a list of everything you need to know:
Florence Aquatic Center: The aquatic center’s season runs from May 27 through Aug. 13. After Aug. 13, the pool will only be open on weekends through Labor Day. The hours of operation will be daily, 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. The aquatic center is located at 8200 Ewing Blvd. in Florence.
The center features a lazy river, competition pool, zero-depth pool, two spray grounds, spiral and speed slides, sunbathing areas, shelters, umbrellas, a bathhouse, and concessions area.

Goebel and Randolph Pools: Goebel Park, located at 737 Dalton St. in Covington, offers a public pool, picnic shelters, a gazebo, a playground, and a grill.
Randolph Park, located at W 8th St. in Covington offers an Olympic-sized swimming pool, basketball courts, a playground, and a picnic shelter with a grill.
Both pools are open seven days a week from noon until 6 p.m. from June 10 through Aug. 6.

Silverlake Water Park: The park, located at 301 Kenton Lands Road in Erlanger is open daily from 11 a.m. to 8:30 p.m.
The water park offers lounge chairs, diving boards, slides, a lily pad walk, and an adult section.
Hours are subject to change without notice and weather depending. Visitors can contact Silverlake to verify that they are open before visiting at (859) 426-7777.

The Latonia Water Park/Splash Pad: The splash pad is in the Bill Cappel Youth Sports Complex at 4305 Decoursey Ave. in Covington. The splash pad is open seven days a week from noon until 6 p.m., June 10 through Aug. 6.
The park offers hoses, sprinklers, slides, and play equipment.

Vets Pool: The pool season runs from May 27 through August 13. The pool is located at 26 Caroline Ave. in Newport.
Operating hours are noon to 6 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and noon to 8 p.m. Friday and Saturday.
Vets Pool is a 25-meter swimming pool with a diving well located in Veterans Memorial Park. The park also offers two ballfields with players’ benches and bleachers, showers, lockers, restroom facilities, a concession stand and vending machines, and a shelter with picnic tables.

Wilder Splash Pad: The Wilder splash pad, located at 110 South St. in Wilder, reopened for the summer on May 24. The splash pad runs from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. throughout the summer months, weather permitting.
The splash pad is located in City Center Park, which also offers two shelters, a playground, half-court basketball, a pitching wall, a tennis practice wall, two pickleball courts, two sand volleyball courts, a concession stand, and restrooms.
