Miracle on Madison is bringing Christmas cheer to Covington this holiday season.
Santa’s elves have been hard at work transforming the bar, restaurant and music venue – Galaxie into a festive holiday celebration.
Galaxie Covington, which opened its doors in April, is Galaxie’s second location, with the original in Louisville. Owner Thor Morgan told LINK nky that when he was considering expansion, they settled on the city because, “Covington as a whole is such a cool community, and there’s a lot of growth going on there.”
Miracle is a national Christmas cocktail pop-up bar brand with over 200 locations around the country. They “take over” the bars which host them, with a full menu of holiday cocktails and food.

Morgan said they have been doing Miracle for eight years at their original location, and it’s always been received well. “It’s been awesome. It’s really one of everybody on our team’s favorite times of the year.”
He said that for the short time Miracle takes over the bar, they “put Galaxir away for six weeks and make this feel like an entirely different spot.”
“With this being our first year in Covington, we’re really excited to bring the Miracle brand and the pop-up concept to our Covington location,” said Morgan. “And really, what it is, is it’s just all-out Christmas fun.”
The pop-up’s cocktail selection features drinks like the Snowball Old Fashioned (which Morgan told LINK is his favorite), the Christmapolitan and a Jingle Bells Nog. The food menu offers holiday bites like roast turkey, Swiss cheese and cranberry sliders, classic poutine, loaded fries and “Roast Beast” Wakatakas.
“People’s love for Christmas seems to really know no bounds, and it’s kind of fun to be a part of that,” said Morgan. “It gives all of us a lot of Christmas spirit when sometimes you don’t necessarily know that you were going to have it.”

LINK nky stopped by the pop-up on Wednesday, and plenty of patrons were already enjoying the festivities.
“It’s a really interesting vibe when you see grandma, mom and granddaughter all hanging out in the same place and enjoying all the cocktails and the decorations and the Christmas lights. There’s something for all ages here,” said Lili Lambert, a bartender at Galaxie Louisville who runs a beverage catering and consulting business, and was on site Wednesday for the opening night of Miracle on Madison.
Lambert said she’s ready for the marathon of Miracle and will definitely be enjoying some of the house-made spiked eggnog. She said her favorite part of the pop-up is helping with private parties.
“That’s one thing that I love getting to be in charge of: getting to see people get together with their closest friends and family, their loved ones, or their coworkers, celebrate the holidays and enjoy each other,” said Lambert.
Miracle on Madison is open to all with no tickets required. The pop-up is open seven days a week: Monday through Thursday, 4 p.m.-12 a.m.; Friday, 4 p.m.-2 a.m.; Saturday, 12 p.m.-2 a.m.; Sunday, 12 p.m.-12 a.m.
Miracle welcomes all ages until 9 p.m. and then converts to 21+ after 9 p.m. The pop-up concludes on Dec. 28. The space is also available for holiday party rentals. Find more information at miracleonmadison.com.
