Community access station Campbell Media won several Blue Chip Community Media Awards for 2025. Bellevue was the subject of two of the media service’s award-winning stories.

Campbell Media records meetings, events and special programs for Bellevue and other Northern Kentucky cities. The two winning Bellevue stories were “Bellevue City 2024 Recap,” about the city’s 2024 accomplishments, and “Bellevue Eclipse and Sips,” a community event centering on the total solar eclipse of April 2024.

At the city’s May 14 council meeting, Campbell Media Executive Director Jennifer Teipel presented plaques to the city in appreciation.

“I want to take a quick moment to thank you on behalf of Campbell Media,” said Teipel. “We received several awards on the collaborations that we have done with the city of Bellevue. We’re bringing these plaques tonight as a small way to say thank you. Thank you for your support. Thank you for your trust in us and for the great work you’re doing in our community.”

The two stories won in several professional-level categories, including community activity coverage, entertainment and short subject. She thanked Bellevue Marketing and Communications Director Melissa Morandi and Mayor Charlie Cleves for their support and help.

Bellevue’s marketing initiatives, spearheaded by Morandi, have recently drawn thousands to various city events and boosted the city’s visibility.

“Working with them has been a joy, and all the projects that we’ve done have been total successes,” Teipel added. “These plaques are a reflection of the great things happening in Bellevue and the positive stories we’re able to share because of leadership and collaboration we experience here, and we can’t wait to see what comes next.”

Blue Chip Community Media is a cooperative effort by Greater Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky area cable access programs to recognize achievements of local media producers. Each year the organization makes awards for local programming and storytelling. They held a ceremony at Northern Kentucky University this April to present the awards.
