Bring your family to get photos with Santa for free. Santa will be available for pictures from 2-4 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 2, at the Newport Fire Department.

Tree lighting ceremony at the city building

Join city officials for the city’s tree lighting ceremony in front of the Newport City Building on Saturday, Dec. 2, at 5:30 p.m. The city manager and mayor will lead the community in a countdown to illuminate the tree.

East Row Christmas tour block party

After the tree lighting, the public is invited to the East Row Winter Block Party on Saturday, Dec. 2 from 6:30-10 p.m. in Hamlet Alley, next to Coaches Corner bar. There will be live music, drink specials, a food truck, an outdoor tent, fire pits, and gas heaters to stay warm.

Santa and his sleigh will also be in attendance for photo opportunities. Pets are welcome.
