Labor Day in the Cincinnati area means the largest fireworks display in the Midwest.

Since 1977, the Western & Southern/WEBN fireworks have provided residents with the pièce de résistance of their Labor Day weekends. The fireworks are slated for Sept. 3 at 9 p.m. They will be the culminating moment of the Cincinnati Riverfest, which will kick off at noon.

Whether from high up in Devou Park, watching along the Newport riverfront, or even comfortably from home, LINK nky searched for the best spots in Northern Kentucky to watch the 47th annual WEBN Fireworks.

Newport

Located directly in front of the Ohio River, Newport on the Levee is generally a go-to spot to watch the fireworks.

Dubbed Riverfest on the Levee, Newport on the Levee is hosting a variety of activities the day of the fireworks. The event kicks off at 3 p.m.

Below are the businesses within Newport on the Levee that are hosting events on Sept. 3:

Bellevue

One of the best places in Bellevue to view the fireworks is from the parking lot by Buckhead Grill. Located directly off Fairfield Avenue, Buckhead Grill is hosting a watch party which kicks off at 4:30 p.m.

You can secure a ticket by calling Buckhead at (859) 491-7333 or email dmulberry@buckheadmanagement.com. Outside deck table tickets cost $125, while an inside table costs $100.

Covington

Want a great view from one of Northern Kentucky’s most iconic parks? Devou Park has you covered. Located atop one of the tallest lookout points in the region, spectators can peer out over the Ohio River to watch the fireworks light up the night sky.

Earlier this week, the City of Covington laid out a variety of ground rules for participants to follow. This includes the public consumption of alcohol, which is strictly prohibited on city property.

Additionally, many city streets will be closed, as well as the Clay Wade Bailey Bridge and Roebling Bridge.

Other potential places to watch the fireworks in Covington include George Rogers Clark Park in the city’s Licking Riverside neighborhood and at the foot of the Roebling Bridge along the Ohio riverfront.
