Santa’s workshop is humming, and Santa is busy reading letters and making lists. Starting on Nov. 14, kids in Kenton County will be able to mail a letter to Santa and receive a response from him by Christmas.
Santa Express Mailboxes will be displayed around Kenton County from Nov. 14 until Dec. 12, and there is no postage necessary for letters dropped off at these locations.
Letters may be dropped off during regular business hours or submitted online at kentoncounty.org.
Mailboxes will be installed in all Kenton County Public Libraries, the Kenton County Government Center in Covington, the Historic Kenton County Courthouse in Independence, and at Kenton County Animal Services.
Santa, of course, knows where each child lives; however, the post office needs home addresses to deliver the letters. Each kid at the same address will receive a different letter from Santa at home, make sure your child’s name and address are easy to read.
The program is free, but to help Kenton County Parks and Recreation share the holiday spirit, bring non-perishable food or personal care item donations for Be Concerned when dropping off letters. Be Concerned is a nonprofit that helps Kentuckians in need obtain basic necessities.
