The Walmart on Alexandria Pike in Alexandria unveiled a reworked building layout and a new community-focused mural on Friday morning.
The rework features expanded departments and brand selections, updates to the pharmacy and vision center, expanded walking space throughout the store and general quality of life updates to the interior, exterior, signage, parking lot and landscaping.



“We’re thrilled for the community to see our newly transformed store, featuring expanded departments and enhanced shopping experiences that better serve our customers’ evolving needs,” said store manager Nicole Fultz. “We’re deeply grateful for all the support from our customers and we remain committed to providing quality, value and convenience while giving back to the community that has made our success possible.”
Additionally, the store’s management and staff presented $11,000 in grant funding to several NKY and Cincinnati nonprofits to demonstrate “commitment to helping others live better in the communities it serves,” according to a Walmart press release.
The following organizations were awarded funds:
- $3,000 to The Newport Foundation
- $1,000 to Bowles Center for Diversity Outreach
- $1,000 to Brighton Center
- $1,000 to Campbell County Band Boosters
- $1,000 to Go Pantry
- $1,000 to Mad Kicks
- $500 to American Lung Association
- $500 to Campbell Conservancy
- $500 to Cleo’s Legacy
- $500 to Community Family Church
- $500 to Down Syndrome Associate of Greater Cincinnati
- $500 to March of Dimes Cincinnati
The mural is part of Walmart’s national program to highlight the uniqueness of the communities where stores are located. The murals are created in conjunction with NOW Art, a public art agency based in California.
