Strong’s Brick Oven Pizzeria in Newport is relocating to a vacant storefront on Monmouth Street, formerly occupied by JerZees Pub.
JerZees was located at 708 Monmouth St. before it shuttered in October 2024; now, Strong’s is set to move into the space. Previously, Strong’s was located at 336 Monmouth St.
The news was announced in a press release from the local pizza chain’s leadership.
“We listened closely to what our customers wanted,” co-owner Cindy Hahn said in a news release. “They asked for more room for their families, easier parking, and a space that could host live music—and we couldn’t be more thrilled to deliver on all of that.”
The original location will close after service on June 15. The ownership believes the new location will provide expanded space, more convenient parking and an enhanced dining experience.
