The City of Union recognized Union 42 Bourbon & Brew for representing the community on the national stage.
In early September, Union 42 Bourbon & Brew was named one of the best bourbon bars in Northern Kentucky by The Bourbon Review as part of the publication’s America’s Best Bourbon Bars awards.
Union Mayor Larry Solomon presented Larry Hemsath, founder of Union 42 Bourbon & Brew, with a Certificate of Excellence Award during a commission meeting on Monday.
“This certificate is presented to your business for continued success as a Union business and being recognized as a top bourbon bar in Northern Kentucky,” Solomon said while presenting the award.
Union 42 Bourbon & Brew is located at 9900 Old Union Road. The bar features a diverse selection of bourbon, rye, Irish whiskey, scotch, and craft and domestic beer.
“Mr. Hemsath has graciously opened a public establishment in the City of Union that we all know and love, and has transformed an institute over there that was a long time ago, a place that a lot of people didn’t go, and now it’s one of the noted places in Union to attend,” Solomon said.
