The owners of York Street Cafe in Newport announced the closure of the restaurant on Friday, after nearly 30 years of operation.
“We are so grateful to the guests who have supported us through all these years,” the announcement reads. “The weddings, proposals, first dates, anniversaries, birthdays and countless other special occasions that were celebrated here we live on in our memories forever.”
The reason for the closure was not given in the announcement.
“We will miss you all. Thanks for everything,” the announcement concludes.
