The Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport released its annual economic impact report, highlighting the growth of the airport’s cargo operation.

The study, conducted by researchers at the University of Cincinnati’s Economics Center, found that CVG has an annual economic impact of $9.3 billion — a $6 billion increase over the past decade. Additionally, CVG ended the year with a 15.4% passenger increase over 2022.

“Our mission is to be a catalyst that transforms our region. We are delivering on that mission. I’m extremely proud that we have increased our impact on the community by nearly $6 billion over the last 10 years,” CVG CEO Candace McGraw said in a press release.

CVG was also one of the fastest-growing air cargo airports in the world, moving up from no. 17 to no. 12, according to the release.

The report also highlighted other notable milestones from the past year, including launching two new airlines: British Airways and Breeze Airways, and the opening of four new restaurants: Skyline, Frisch’s, Braxton Taproom, and Wendy’s.
