Attention all pizza lovers: The original Strong’s Brick Oven Pizzeria location in Newport is back in operation.
After being temporarily closed since last year, the location at 336 Monmouth St. reopened Tuesday. For now, they’re open Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m.
“We are taking it slow the first few weeks,” the pizzeria said on its Facebook page. “We know how much this store means to the community, and we want the reopen to go as smooth as possible.”
The Newport location closed shop to “regroup and recover from the pandemic” last year.
In a Facebook post from May 2021, the pizzeria said the Newport location had temporarily transformed into their catering headquarters. The location remained open for catering and private parties but was closed for takeout and dining in.
The four other Strong’s pizza locations in Hebron, Lawrenceburg, Cincinnati, and Hebron, which opened last November, are operating at regular hours, 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday through Sunday.
