Aviatra Accelerators connects female entrepreneurs with the resources they need to be successful. One of those resources is Aviatra’s Explore Spring 2022 program.
The program is aimed to help women who have business ideas but aren’t sure where to start, along with women who have recently launched businesses and need help with their next step and new women-owned companies that need more guidance.
By the end of the program, business owners should walk away with a better understanding of who their customers are and understand the value they provide them, according to Aviatra. They should also have an actionable business model and budget draft or financial projections.
Aviatra directly helped over 200 women, hosted 500 hours of mentoring, and created over 100 jobs in 2021. Since the start of the company in 2010, women have received $10 million in follow-on funding and have generated over $1 billion in revenues.
Here is the roster of businesses and the owners for Explore Spring 2022:
Tina Mitchell, creator of MedLinkPlus

“First and foremost, I am a mom to three children, wife and Registered Nurse for 12 years,” Mitchell said. “I have seen the medical field evolve yet still lack in the area of patient’s home medications. As a humanitarian and visionary, I know with the right guidance, faith, dedication and drive I can help more people on a larger scale.”
MedLinkPlus makes it easy to know when, how, and why you take medication to keep you safe, Mitchell said. They digitally keep medication lists current and all in one place to make it easier to give to doctors or pharmacists, when you have a medical appointment, test, or go to the hospital or emergency room. Every year millions of Americans are impacted by medication errors resulting in preventable patient fatalities and costing the US billions of dollars.
MedLinkPlus will track and continually update your medication list for you so you can easily communicate your medication/health-related needs at each point of contact with the healthcare system. Today there is not one record that shows all patients’ medication information. The auditing process to understand what medications patients are on is outdated and heavily relies on trust and with a high risk of inaccurate reporting.
Ann Musick, creator of iScript Nutrition

“I’m a Certified Nutrition Specialist and Opus 23 Pro certified practitioner licensed in KY and currently working on my Doctorate in Clinical Nutrition at Maryland University of Integrative Health,” Musick said. “I specialize in advanced personalized nutrition for individuals living with complex chronic health conditions to empower their best physical and cognitive health. Patients who work with me receive a 90-minute consultation that includes personalized Nutrition and Integrative Health Recommendations based on analysis of their functional blood and urine labs and 23andMe raw genetic data guided by the patient’s primary health & wellness goals. I have different packages varying in duration of support (i.e. one, three and six months).”
iScript Nutrition is working to reduce the dependence on pharmaceutical medications for complex chronic health conditions through advanced personalized nutrition consultation that includes analysis of function lab testing and genomics raw data.
“I’m trained to address root causes of chronic disease holistically and integratively with diet, nutrient therapy and lifestyle modification,” Musick said. “In three years, I’d like to be employing a full-time Certified Nutrition Specialist, and certified Functional Medicine Health Coach with revenue of at least $10k per month.”
Lindsey Williams, creator of Golden Mane Illustrations

“I’m a illustration/merch designer and I sell art prints, comics, illustrated books, T-shirts, stickers, buttons, pins, custom masks, etc.,” Williams said. “I received my associate’s degree in graphic design and illustration from Wright State University in 2019. I have been an artist since childhood spending most of my time creating my own furry animal caricatures with humanistic features. I’m born and raised in Ohio and live with my mom and red tabby named Jack.”
Williams said her business is a space for furry animal lovers of all kinds. She wants her art to inspire, bring happiness, impact people and bring positive vibes.
“Golden Mane Illustrations is where I blend my design skills and passion for furry creation with the needs of underserved consumer audiences focusing on marginalized groups such as the disability community, the LGBTQIA+ community, black and indigenous communities and the mental health communities,” Williams said.
In three years, Williams hopes to establish an online presence and following and make a gross income of between $10-20k.
“I am autistic with a cognitive disability that affects my memory and math skills, but I am very determined and accomplish anything I set my mind to,” Williams said.
Shannon Paul, creator of Healing Arts Center for Massage and Body Work

Shannon Paul has been exploring massage therapy, meditation and alternative healing traditions focused on the body-mind-spirit connection for almost her entire life. After spending over a decade working in corporate marketing she decided to return to her prior practice as a massage therapist, to help facilitate the healing process as a natural way to reduce stress and manage chronic pain. Paul lives in Covington with her husband Adam, and Gaby the cat.
Paul said massage therapy is a growing industry with an increasing number of consumers believing massage should be considered a form of health care. The demand for trained, professional massage therapists will increase over the next decade. According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, employment of massage therapists is projected to grow 22 percent from 2018 to 2028. According to Paul, that’s much faster than the average for all occupations. The U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics indicates this demand will likely increase as more healthcare providers understand the benefits of massage and these services become part of treatment plans.
“I would like to open a healing arts center that focuses on providing massage therapy, a sacred space for healing, gathering and meditation and a storefront with supplies for creating a self-care practice at home,” Paul said.
Janis Robb, creator of Hyde Park Healing/Starseed Yoga

“I’m a yoga teacher and reiki master with a master’s in business who has lived internationally for 12 years and returning to Cincinnati where I did my undergrad, and ready to give back and contribute to the community in a way that is a win-win-win,” Robb said.
Rob wants to solve both lack of energy and promote health and healing with her business. She looks to do this with a boutique selling crystals and offering alternative healing modalities such as a salt cave, with yoga, singing bowls, sound color therapy and healing.
Robb seeks healing, and wellbeing naturally with a boutique yoga line that gives you energy when you wear them thru sacred geometry called “Starseed Yoga.” Her first collection is made and ready for production.

Nicole Dyehouse, creator of Aircraft Records Research Auditing Tool

“I have a son and daughter. My daughter has a very rare syndrome which causes her significant disabilities,” Dyehouse said. “I have also been an aircraft mechanic since graduating college in 1998. I’ve worn many hats in the field but my knowledge of aircraft records and my mind for loving a good mystery gave me the inspiration to discover a way to solve a very real issue in aviation.”
Dyehouse said aircraft records research requires extensive time, knowledge and effort. Aircraft owners rarely get an accurate assessment of their aircraft’s records due to the extensive time required to research records manually.
“What’s unique about Aircraft Records is that we create an IT tool that allows records researched with increased accuracy, with improved speed and accessible to the average technician and subsequently to aircraft owners,” Dyehouse said.
In three years, Dyehouse wants to be a fully functioning online environment where records can be submitted, and a detailed research report is generated within a week.
Jill Blom, creator of The Lawn- 24/7 indoor dog park in the central business district

“I’ve been in customer care and sales for 25 years from skincare to neuroscience and a little bit of fashion,” Blom said. “I love dogs, especially my Curly pup. They say do what you love, and it won’t feel like work. If my business came to life, it would be run from love.”
Blom said there are no parks or grassy areas in the area that sits between Washington Park and The Banks. Currently, there is not an indoor dog park of any kind Downtown.
In three years Blom would like the business to have a steady group of regular clients, growing from new residents and visitors. She would like enough revenue growth to add retail- local partners like pet wants and 3 dog bakery. Expand the dog wash area to add grooming. At 5 years, Blom would like to add a coffee bar.
“What problem does my business solve? It gives residents in the central business district and guests at dog-friendly hotels a safe and weatherproof place for their pups to run, play and even get a bath,” Blom said.
Sangita Vora, a business plan for one-step meals for Indian students

“I have been a stay-at-home mom for 30-plus years, have taken care of lots of students who come from India, who don’t really know how life is in the United States,” Vora said. “Majority of them don’t have life skills for U.S. lifestyle. I would spend a week grooming them, teaching them how to shop for groceries, how to prepare quick meals, how to clean their dorms. Also, setting up their first dorm room with essentials. Lift style in India is very different from here, these 17-year-old students don’t know how to have that flawless transit. I have done this since 1998.”
Indian meals without skills or ingredients, homemade, ready in minutes.
“My business solves the problem by providing instant meals for Indian students, but not precooked,” Vora said. “No cooking skills or ingredients required, and it is one step meal.”
In three years, Vora hopes to reach at least 10 colleges in the U.S. and have some YouTube videos that will have tips to make cooking and living easier and affordable for students from India.
