The Sprouts and Stouts festival was held Friday and Saturday at E 4th and Madison in Covington

The Sprouts and Stouts festival is back after a hiatus due to Covid restrictions. This year the festival was held on two days, Friday and Saturday, May 6 and 7, at a small lot located at East Fourth and Madison in Covington.

There was a plant sale on Friday, from 10 am to 5 pm, and that plant sale continued on to Saturday, from noon to 8 pm.

Saturday was an all day music fest with a main stage featuring acts like Olivia Frances, The School of Rock Mason, Push Play and The Turkeys.

Food trucks offered a variety of food, and Rhinegeist had a truck and a tent for purchasing beer and stout.

Local crafters were on hand with lots of items for sale, and art activities and face painting were available for the kids.

Trinity Episcopal Church hosts the event, and they are committed to being part of the Covington Community.

Proceeds from the event will go to The Welcome House of NKY, Children’s Home of Northern Kentucky, the Emergency Shelter, and Lincoln Grant Scholar Home, along with others.
