A stabbing at a Fort Thomas apartment complex has landed one in jail and one in critical condition at the University of Cincinnati Hospital’s Trauma Center.
On Tuesday, May 2 at 11:38 p.m., police were dispatched to Inverness Place apartments off of Memorial Parkway for a disturbance. There they found Sawm Pau, a resident of the apartments with severe injuries that were sustained after a fight with his roommate, Khup Mun Thang, that ended with Pau being stabbed.

Lt. Casey Kilgore of the Fort Thomas Police said that there was alcohol involved.
After an investigation by police, Thang was arrested on May 5 at the apartments and charged with Assault 1st, a Class B felony that carries a sentence of 10-20 years.
Pau and Thang were roommates at the apartment with two others. The four are acquaintances who are from Myanmar and all work together as sushi chefs at a local grocery store.
Investigators were able to piece the night together after speaking to the victim. He stated that a fight ensued between he and Thang and that Thang said “he was going to kill him.”Â
Thang is being held at the Campbell County on a $50,000 cash bond. He is due back in court on Friday.
