A man was killed in an early morning crash Tuesday that shut down eastbound I-275 at Madison Pike for hours.

It started at 7:17 a.m. when Fort Wright Police were dispatched to the 80 mile marker.

Officers found three cars and a motorcycle involved in a collision.

According to a news release, the man on the motorcycle attempted to avoid a vehicle stopped in front of him but lost control and hit the guard rail.

He was found with life-threatening injuries and was air-lifted to University of Cincinnati Medical Center where he was pronounced dead.

Details about others involved in the crash were not released.

The crash is still under investigation.

The victim’s identity has not yet been released.
