(Covington, KY, September 30, 2026) — The Carnegie closes its 2026 season of musicals with the cult-favorite CARRIE: THE MUSICAL. Produced in partnership with the University of Cincinnati College–Conservatory of Music (CCM) and featuring performers from CCM’s nationally recognized Musical Theatre program, the production runs at The Carnegie October 23 through November 1.

From the twisted imagination of Stephen King comes a tale of terror, power, and teenage rage like no other. CARRIE: THE MUSICAL thrusts you into the world of Carrie White — the shy outsider bullied at school and tormented at home by her fanatically religious mother. But when she discovers a strange new power, the tables turn… and the results are explosive. Fueled by a driving rock score and raw, emotional intensity, this cult classic crackles with fear, fury, and fire — until everything ignites. Bold, bloody, and utterly unforgettable, it’s a night at the theatre you won’t escape unscathed.

Eden Kebede, a senior at CCM, stars as Carrie White. Kebede appeared in The Carnegie’s Summer 2025 production of THE COLOR PURPLE. Also returning to the Covington stage are Griffin Simmons (Tommy Ross), Arden Allmon (Chris Hargensen), Jack Bear Ryan (Billy Nolan), and Matthew Williamson (George).
Making their Carnegie debuts are Ayla Schwartz (Sue Snell), and Ilsa Denton, Isabella Fish, Griffin Greear, Christopher Hayes, and Joelle Lewis in the ensemble. The productions swings and standbys include Naia Castro, Ben Cottrill, John Dean, Ava Greenberg, Maya Sharma, Naomi Thuren, and Alex Valencic.
The student cast is joined by professional actors Amy Luce (Margaret White) and Nik Rocklin (Mr. Stephens/Reverend Bliss) along with Victoria Okafor (Miss Gardner) who appeared in The Carnegie’s 2024 production of BEAUTIFUL: THE CAROLE KING MUSICAL.

The production is directed and choreographed by Vincent DeGeorge. DeGeorge is the Patricia A. Corbett Distinguished Chair of Musical Theatre at CCM. He recently directed the world premiere Stephen Schwartz musical review CORNER OF THE SKY at Ensemble Theatre Cincinnati. Associate Director and Choreographer Jessica Harris previously choreographed The Carnegie productions of ANYTHING GOES and SEUSSICAL. Music Director Steve Goers has worked on more than a dozen productions at The Carnegie including THE ROCKY HORROR SHOW, MURDER FOR TWO, and ALWAYS… PATSY CLINE. Harris and Goers are both faculty members at CCM.
