The Northern Kentucky Chamber of Commerce (NKY Chamber) presented St. Elizabeth Healthcare with the Northern Kentucky Community Award during its August Board of Directors/Board of Advisors meeting. The award recognizes individuals, businesses, or organizations that make a significant positive impact on the Northern Kentucky Metro region.
Earlier this month, U.S. News and World Report named St. Elizabeth’s Edgewood campus as Greater Cincinnati’s top hospital and as the top hospital in Kentucky for the second consecutive year.
Founded in 1861 by Henrietta Cleveland with the help of the Diocese of Covington and the Franciscan Sisters of the Poor, St. Elizabeth Healthcare began as a single hospital serving Northern Kentucky, Southeastern Indiana, and Greater Cincinnati. Today, it has grown into a network of 6 hospitals delivering specialized care including cardiology, oncology, and women’s health across the region.
“St. Elizabeth Healthcare is far more than a hospital system, they’re a genuine community partner,” said Brent Cooper, president and CEO of the NKY Chamber. “From offering mobile cardiovascular and mammography units to hosting educational classes and events, this community is touched by St. Elizabeth every day. We are honored to present this hospital system, and all who work there, with the Northern Kentucky Community Award.”
St. Elizabeth Healthcare operates main hospital facilities in Covington, Dearborn County, Edgewood, Florence, Ft. Thomas, and Grant County. The hospital also has more than 160 primary care and specialty office locations across the Tristate.
