Our mission at BE NKY Growth Partnership is to drive economic growth across Boone, Kenton, and Campbell counties, fueling opportunity and prosperity for all Northern Kentuckians and their families. To succeed in this mission and attract new residents, jobs, companies and investment, we are giving a glimpse into what it is really like to learn, live and work here in A Life Built Here.
In partnership with leading Northern Kentucky education institutions, such as Learning Grove, Thomas More University and Northern Kentucky University, local companies, organizations, residents and actors, we produced A Life Built Here to tell the story of building a life in NKY through the journey of a young woman working in advanced manufacturing at Mazak. Data and statistics are important in company location decisions, but they only tell part of the story. They don’t capture what it feels like to raise a family in Northern Kentucky; they don’t tell the story of someone who moved here for a job and stayed because they found a community; and they don’t fully capture the connection people build with the place they call home.
“Companies look at data when they evaluate a region, but people choose a place based on the life they can build there,” said BE NKY President and CEO Lee Crume. “A Life Built Here captures the opportunity, community and quality of life that make Northern Kentucky a place where people and businesses can thrive.”
A Life Built Here roots Northern Kentucky’s growth story in the people and places that define the region. It showcases Northern Kentucky’s healthcare, education and entrepreneurial gems, including St. Elizabeth Healthcare, Thomas More University, Northern Kentucky University, and SparkHaus. It highlights the opportunities and resources available in Northern Kentucky at all of life’s stages and the positive impact of growth on families, careers and communities.

At its heart, this story celebrates the people, partnerships, and organizations that help build a stronger future for our region.”
