Transit Authority of Northern Kentucky (TANK) – a public transit system serving Boone, Campbell and Kenton counties and downtown Cincinnati – is expanding its TANK Plus service with the addition of a new drop-off and pick-up-only destination.
Beginning July 1, the Newport Kroger store located at 20 W. 6th St. will become a TANK Plus “Island,” serving as a designated stop. As part of the launch, riders who travel to or from the “Island” during the month of July will receive a $5 Kroger gift card.
“By adding the Newport Kroger as a TANK Plus Island, we’re expanding convenient, affordable access and giving riders a simple way to connect to grocery shopping,” said Jenny Kammes, TANK marketing manager.
Curb-to-curb TANK Plus service is $5 per ride.
Since launching in 2024, TANK Plus has provided on-demand service offering convenient curb-to-curb transportation for riders, as well as connections to TANK fixed-route transfer points.
