Wilson Wreaths & More Invites You to Celebrate Freedom, Family, Culture, and Community at the Florence Juneteenth Celebration
at the Florence Nature Park Event Center | Florence, Kentucky

FLORENCE, KY — Wilson Wreaths & More Nonprofit Corporation proudly invites the community to join the For Family by Family Juneteenth Celebration on Friday, June 19, 2026, from 12:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Florence Nature Park Event Center in Florence, Kentucky.
This free community event will celebrate freedom, family, culture, creativity, education, and community and Wilson Wreaths & More will be raising funds for scholarships that benefit local high school and college students.
Juneteenth commemorates June 19, 1865, when enslaved African Americans in Galveston, Texas, finally learned of their freedom more than two years after President Abraham Lincoln signed the Emancipation Proclamation. Today, Juneteenth stands as a powerful reminder of resilience, hope, progress, and the continuing pursuit of equality and opportunity for all.
Through the leadership of Founder and Creative Director Col. Renee Wilson, Wilson Wreaths & More has become known for bringing people together through creativity, service, and community engagement. The nonprofit’s motto, “Crafting Creates Community,” reflects its commitment to strengthening neighborhoods through multicultural crafting experiences, educational opportunities, celebrations, and scholarship support.
Kentucky Colonel and Councilwoman Renee Wilson is a respected community leader, entrepreneur, missionary, public servant, and advocate for education and civic engagement. She made history as the first person of color elected to the Erlanger City Council and has dedicated decades of loving leadership and service to improving the quality of life for families throughout Northern Kentucky and our Commonwealth. Through Wilson Wreaths & More, she continues to create opportunities that inspire creativity, connection, and community empowerment.
“Juneteenth is a celebration of freedom, family, culture, and hope,” said Wilson. “We invite everyone to join us as we honor our history, celebrate our diversity, and invest in the future through scholarships and community engagement.”
Event Theme: “United Through Legacy: 100 Years Strong — Celebrating Freedom, Family & Future” Event Slogan: “Rooted in History. Rising in Unity.” The event theme and slogan, honor Juneteenth and the 100th anniversary of Black History Month while recognizing the continued progress, resilience, and contributions of African American communities throughout our region.

The 4th Annual For Family By Family Juneteenth Community Celebration will feature a variety of educational experiences and activities designed to create meaningful connections across generations and cultures while serving as a celebration and platform for community engagement, learning, and collaboration.
