St. Philip School is excited to announce the completion of a long-awaited dream: the creation of a new school garden for students to learn, grow, and explore together.
Thanks to the generosity of donations from our supportive community, funds were used to purchase fencing, seeds, a trellis, growing supports, soil amendments, and many other necessities needed to bring the garden to life. Four raised garden beds were assembled and installed with the help of Father Bob and the 7th and 8th grade classes, whose hard work and dedication made this project possible.
Students are incredibly grateful and excited for this new opportunity. Through the garden, they will learn the importance of teamwork, patience, responsibility, and caring for God’s creation. The garden will also provide hands-on learning experiences that positively impact students’ studies while encouraging healthy nutrition and wellness.
This exciting addition to the St. Philip community is already creating enthusiasm throughout the school, and we look forward to watching the garden continue to grow and flourish. Community members are encouraged to visit the garden and observe the students’ progress throughout the seasons.
St. Philip School extends its heartfelt thanks to everyone who contributed to making this dream a reality and for helping our students “grow.”
