The Kenton County Police Department is investigating a fatal collision that occurred on May 15 at the intersection of Madison Pike and Highland Pike in Fort Wright.

At 11:12 p.m. on Friday, officers from the Kenton County Police Department, Fort Wright Police Department, Taylor Mill Police Department and Covington Police Department were dispatched to 3395 Madison Pike after reports of a crash with injuries. Upon arrival, they found an injured individual who had been struck by a vehicle.

According to a Kenton County Police press release, the victim, who has yet to be publicly identified, was struck while crossing the roadway outside a marked crosswalk by a 2018 Subaru Impreza driven by a 76-year-old Covington resident.

The 37-year-old victim was transported to St. Elizabeth Edgewood, where he was pronounced dead.

The Kenton County Police Department’s Serious Traffic Accident Reconstruction Unit is actively investigating the incident. The unit is encouraging anyone with information or who witnessed the collision to contact Sgt. Charles Duncan at (859) 392-1955.
