The Christ Hospital in Mt. Auburn, Cincinnati.

CINCINNATI (April 22, 2026) – The Christ Hospital has been named to America’s Best Maternity Hospitals List for 2026 by Newsweek for the fifth consecutive year. The complete list can be found on Newsweek’s website. The Christ Hospital was one of just 15 hospitals recognized in the state of Ohio.

Newsweek and Statista, one of the world-leading statistics portal and industry ranking providers, have partnered to identify America’s Best Maternity Hospitals in 2026. High-quality maternity care, provided through the entire journey of pregnancy from conception through the birth and then in the postpartum period is key to the long-term health of newborns and women given that maternity care is a major component of a women’s healthcare.

“We are honored to be included on Newsweek’s America’s Best Maternity Hospitals 2026 list for the fifth year in a row,” said Debbie Hayes, President and CEO of The Christ Hospital Health Network. “This recognition is possibly only because of the fact that our entire clinical teams, led by our incredibly talented physicians do everything it takes for our patients. We’ve heard from our patients across the region that they are seeking only the finest care for both mothers and their newborns and we are pleased to be able to provide that for them. As a part of that and adding to our amazing team of providers, we recently announced the expansion of our OB/GYN services in both Eastgate, Ohio and Southgate, Kentucky.”

This year’s rankings are based on three pillars:

• Hospital Quality Metrics with a focus on indicators relevant to maternity care.

• Patient Experience from public hospital survey data.

• Reputation Score: Healthcare professionals and hospital managers with knowledge about maternity processes e.g., neonatal and perinatal doctors, nurses and midwives were asked to recommend leading maternity hospitals in the U.S.

“Our entire team could not be prouder to be recognized on this list for five consecutive years as we continue to be the premier system for women’s care,” said Leanne Olshavsky, MD, medical director of women’s health at The Christ Hospital Health Network. “By choosing The Christ Hospital Health Network for the birth of a newborn, our patients expect the excellence in care that so many have come to recognize not just here in Cincinnati, but across the country.”
