Viva Voices Choral Organization began in Northern Kentucky 5 years ago. Since that time the group has had remarkable growth. They now have 5 choirs for singers ages 8 to 80+ and today, there are over 200 performers participating in these choirs. “Our 5th Anniversary Gala is a celebration of everyone who has helped Viva Voices grow—our singers, families, audiences, donors, and community partners,” says Tony Burdette, Founding President & Artistic Director. “It’s a joyful reflection on where we’ve been and an exciting look toward what’s ahead.”
Viva Voices draws choral singers to Northern Kentucky from all over the Tri-State. The adult choirs perform locally and internationally. They have performed in Paris and Normandy, France, and this summer they will sing at the International Choral Festival in Salzburg, Austria.
The three youth choirs will represent our region this summer in Washington, D. C. for our nation’s 250th Birthday Celebration. They will sing at the National Cathedral and on the steps of the Lincoln Memorial. These youth will also give a local Preview Performance of their patriotic program at Drees Home Auditorium on May 3rd at 7:00 p.m.
The public is invited to attend the Viva Voices 5th Anniversary Gala celebration at Cincinnati Music Hall Ballroom on Sunday, April 26th at 3 p.m. All 5 youth and adult choirs will perform.
