MadTree Brewing documents $1.85M in total impact, 10,000+ trees planted, and commitment to people and planet

MadTree Brewing is proud to release its annual Let’s Grow Local Impact Report, celebrating $1,850,213 in total environmental and community impact, more than 10,000 trees planted or donated across Cincinnati, and highlighting the numerous ways MadTree operates as a force for good. The annual report is a transparent look at MadTree’s commitment to people and the planet.

“None of this happens without you,” say co-founders Brady Duncan and Kenny McNutt in the report’s opening letter to the community. “Every pint poured, every meal shared, every event attended — your support is what makes this work possible.”

The numbers tell the story — but so do the moments behind them:
– $1,850,213 total impact and on track to deliver $5 million in impact by 2030
– 2,367 volunteer hours logged by MadTree team members in 2025, representing a $70,909 investment
– 2,952 trees were distributed through ReLeaf, Let’s Grow Local Day, Earth Day, and Trees for Bees in 2025, bringing the cumulative total to 10,172 trees planted or donated across Cincinnati since 2019
– $62,679 in carbon offsets raised through private events hosted at MadTree in 2025
– 187,766 lbs of compostable waste were diverted from landfills in 2025 from MadTree’s three locations
– 1,788,370 lbs of spent grain fed local livestock in 2025
– 2,009 lbs of shrink wrap diverted from landfills in 2025

2025 also marked the launch of Branch Out at MadTree’s newest location, Parks & Rec at Summit Park in Blue Ash. Developed alongside disability specialists and community members, Branch Out brings intentional inclusion to restaurant design — with sensory rooms, accessible outdoor playscapes, staff training, and more. It’s the kind of work that isn’t widely seen, but makes a real difference for real families.

As Ohio’s only B Corp certified brewery and a member of 1% for the Planet, MadTree commits 1% of all sales to local environmental nonprofits and provides every full-time employee with 16 paid volunteer hours annually. With Alcove-Summit Park opening in Blue Ash in summer 2026, MadTree’s new location will fuel more Let’s Grow Local impact.

“We’re proud to prove that purpose and profitability don’t just coexist — they fuel each other,” said Rhiannon Hoeweler, VP of Experience & Impact. “This is what it looks like when a community grows together — thank you.”

Voted Cincinnati’s #1 Local Brewery by Cincinnati Magazine readers, MadTree Brewing is energized by a community that believes great beer, Sway, and a better world belong in the same can.
