The annual Lou Manchise Labor-Management Conference is returning to Northern Kentucky University.

NKU is set to host the 43rd annual Lou Manchise Labor-Management Conference on Friday, May 15, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., at the Votruba Student Union.

The conference, organized by the Alternative Dispute Resolution Center at NKU’s Haile College of Business, functions as a regional gathering for labor, management and community stakeholders to discuss current workplace issues.

This year’s program focuses on labor-management collaboration and features breakout sessions on recent National Labor Relations Board decisions, workplace flexibility and fairness, interest-based bargaining and emotional intelligence in the workplace.

Morning keynote speakers Neidra Kennedy of AFSCME Local 1768 and Kelly Winston of Hamilton County will present on approaches to labor-management collaboration. The afternoon keynote speaker, Lee Crume of BE NKY Growth Partnership, will address communication, trust and collaboration in economic development leadership.

Registration is available through NKU. Early bird registration is $160 for those who register by May 1. After that, standard registration is $175. Student registration is available for $40, and a group rate of $1,440 is offered for a package of 10 tickets.
